THE TALLAHASSEE WWII HISTORICAL SOCIETY Invites You to Our Gatherings of World War II Veterans and Friends @ LAKEVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH FELLOWSHIP HALL
Aug 25 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
Please note this is a repeating event.  Please confirm there has been no interruption before you plan to attend.

The World War II Historical Society will pay tribute to the late Abe Schestopol, Lt. Colonial, USAF, Ret. With a presentation of one of the talks he gave on April 28, 2007, entitled “My Life Through the 20th Century.” It begins with his impressions as a child and events surrounding World War I, the Great Depression, and events leading up to World War II.  Abe spent the war in China flying as a navigator on a Billy Mitchell B-25 bomber. He also served in Korea and Viet Nam retiring from the Air
Force as a Lt. Col. Among his medals is the Silver Star. His life spanned most of the 20th Century and his experiences and observations are both interesting and enlightening and certainly entertaining.

Rare Chinese and Japanese WW II artifacts will be on display.
