Thanksgiving Craft Hour: Hand Print Turkeys
Every year we love to do a new spin on the hand print turkey craft that so many kids have done for so many years. This year, we went on a scavenger hunt around our neighborhood for the perfect leaves to transform in to turkey feathers. Then, using inexpensive small canvases from Michael’s, each child made an orange hand print. Then, they glued on bunches of orange tissue paper in the center of the hand print. Next, they glued on their chosen “feathers”. Then, they added some yellow paint among the feathers and sprinkled on some gold glitter. The last step was to draw on an eye and smile, and then to decide what they were most thankful for this year. Adding this wording and the date make these the perfect decorations for our home and the perfect keepsake for years to come.
