For 40 years, The Tallahassee Ballet has provided an outstanding training ground for emerging professionals, while stimulating appreciation of the dance arts in our community through several full-scale productions each year. Beauty & The Beast

The 40th Anniversary Season will culminate with Artistic Director, Rick McCullough’s original version of Beauty & the Beast from May 10-12, 2013 at Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre. The theatre’s raised seating gives audience members a perfect perspective to view the depth of the choreography and its rear-projection digital scenery, which actually dances along with the performers.

Summer Intensive Turnign Pointe Series

The Turning Pointe Series is The Tallahassee Ballet’s summer intensive workshop program designed to provide in-depth professional training opportunities for the experienced dancer.

Midtown Barre Crawl

Kick-off summer Saturday, June 1st, 4-8 pm and imbibe in all the tastes of Midtown to benefit The Tallahassee Ballet. Pick up your Midtown Barre Crawl goodie bags stuffed with commemorative cups {for drink samples throughout the evening}, complimentary t-shirt {for the first 150 registrants} and maps directing you to each participating Midtown bar for a complimentary beer or wine sample. Before crawling to your first bar stop by the registration/check-in area in the corridor at the Manor @ Midtown and pick up your goodie bag and crawl map, then head out bar-to-bar to toast good times with good friends … all while supporting the local arts community.

  1. I love the breakfast at The Bada Bean! I’m so excited that you have them on your restaurant list. My friends and I go there all the time for a great girl’s lunch. I also take my kids there on the weekend for pancakes. 😀

      Thanks for sharing. I haven’t been myself, but you just convinced me. Our kids love pancakes too. Hmmm…I wonder if they have or would offer a kids eat free special during the week we could add to our list? Will have to work on that…

  3. We love the Indian Mounds and visit often! The nature trail is the perfect walk to calm my 16 month old on a fussy day!

  4. I can not wait for Food Truck Thursdays!! The community calendar always reminds me early in the week. Easy, fun night with the family and no cooking for me. Yeah!!

  6. The restaurant I’m most excited about is Morelia’s! They continue to be a family-friendly restaurant with the best mexican food in town. We had a great time celebrating Cinco de Mayo there yesterday, and my children were welcomed as part of the celebration!
