Just discovered an AMAZING website.  It’s actually more of a doorway to a wonderful place to visit anytime, from anywhere, with your children.  If you’ve followed the Family Blog here at Tally Connection within the past several months, you know that yours truly, TallyMom, has a passion for reading with children.  Hence the birth of Storytime with TallyMom, with a growing video library and lots of chances to read together at various locations around town too.

Let’s face it….it’s just plain fun to be the one that gets to make a book come to life for a child, to have them as your captive audience, to know their little brains are growing with each word that’s read, to share a quiet moment together…

If you agree, then you’ll fall in love with WeGiveBooks.org like I have.  To date, they’ve facilitated 2,331,353 books read by visitors to their website.  Here’s a bit about the program…

We Give Books is a new digital initiative that enables anyone with access to the Internet to put books in the hands of children who don’t have them, simply by reading online.

We Give Books combines the joy of reading with the power of helping others, providing a platform for caregivers and educators to inspire children to become lifelong readers and lifelong givers.

We Give Books also helps some of the world’s best, most inspiring, literacy organizations by spreading the word about their great work and by providing books to the young people these organizations support.

How To Use WeGiveBooks.org

  1. Read from an endless digital library.
  2. Then, help give real books to charities working tirelessly in communities around the world.
  3. Share about WeGiveBooks.org with others.

Here’s to always having a new book to read together with your kids, and to being a part of sharing the joy in reading, with others, thank to We Give Books!
