Tally Connection’s 2021 Bucket List
Now that 2021 is here, it’s time to come up with your bucket list! As you brainstorm ideas, join us in completing these 10 things in Tallahassee:
1. Attend Springtime Tallahassee
Springtime Tallahassee is a festival held in the heart of downtown, featuring music, food and parades. This year’s festival will be held March 26-27, so mark your calendars!
2. Visit one of the many nature sites in Tallahassee
Tallahassee has countless beautiful parks and hiking trails. Looking for inspiration? Check out our blog for the top five natural attractions in Tallahassee.
3. Visit the Museum of Florida History
This museum is a great place to learn about the rich history of Florida through exhibits such as Florida in the Civil War and World War II. Entry is free, but a donation is appreciated.*
*As of January 2021 the museum is temporarily closed to visitors, but you can still view some of their collections online here.
4. Watch an FSU Theatre show
FSU Theatre is well-known for their theater, having done Browadway hits such as “In the Heights” and “Chicago” in the past. Check out its production program to learn about upcoming shows.
5. Go to the North Florida Fair
Who doesn’t love a good fair? The North Florida Fair has everything from festival food to chainsaw carving. The North Florida Fair will be held Nov. 4-14
6. Attend the Greek Food Festival
Normally held in October, the Greek Food Festival is known for… Greek food! Check out their website and Facebook for the announcement of 2021 festival date.
7. Attend Food Truck Thursday at Lake Ella
Every Thursday, the Tallahassee Food Truck Association and the Lake Ella Merchants Association host food trucks at the Shops at Lake Ella. Come on out for food, friends and live music!
8. Zip Line at the Tallahassee Museum
Tallahassee Museum is 52 acres of Tallahassee nature. It also has great zip lining courses called Tree-to-Tree Adventures. It costs $40-$60, depending on which course you choose.
9. Compete in a Let’s Roam scavenger Hunt
Let’s Roam is an app which hosts anytime scavenger hunts across the country, and they have one for Tallahassee: The Best of Florida’s Capital! Tickets cost about $30 per person.
10. Go to the Downtown Marketplace
Downtown Marketplace happens every Saturday from March through November. It’s the perfect place to get local produce and food while enjoying Park Avenue in Downtown Tallahassee.
