Trivia Night with the Museum: Traditions Edition @ Florida Historic Capitol Museum
Dec 1 @ 6:00 pm

Celebrate the beginning of the end of 2020 with the Florida Historic Capitol Museum’s final Trivia Night of the year! Take on the competition as we delve into historic gatherings and traditions—political ceremonies and Florida’s unique seasonal festivities–and celebrate the new virtual ways we have connected with you over the past year.

Have you enjoyed being a special part of our historic 2020 gatherings? When registering for this special Giving Tuesday edition, you will have the opportunity to show your support for the Museum by selecting a free ticket or a Ticket with Donation with a suggested donation of $5 per player. Register at https://traditionstrivia.eventbrite.com to secure your place and receive details of how to participate.

Please note: We recommend you use both a computer and a smartphone for this session. We have found that viewing the Zoom meeting on a computer equipped with a microphone and speakers works best – sharing your video is fun, but not required. Your phone will help you submit your answers.

America’s Alligator @ Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park - Virtual
Dec 10 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

FREE virtual program – Since the early start of Florida tourism, the alligator has taken on an iconic and even mythical status. Join local author, photographer, and avid naturalist Doug Alderson for an entertaining look at how our most celebrated reptile has inspired various forms of art, stories, photography, tourism and even humor. Doug will share some interesting, fun Victorian-era alligator souvenirs from his own personal collection, and recount intriguing tales related to the feared and revered American Alligator.
This presentation, part of the “For the Springs Virtual Speaker and Performance Series” is a monthly program providing educational entertainment for the general public, a way for people to connect with others in a world of pandemic restrictions, and as an alternate way to enjoy the natural beauty of Wakulla Spring in these challenging times.
